They are in their teen stage

The chicks are growing fast. I know that they are ready for processing at 10 weeks. But man…. They are already in their ugly teen phase. That look where they look sickly because they are losing the baby fuzz but the feathers are grown in quite yet.

So here is a little update. They have tripled in size since arriving. All 26 birds survived shipping and the stress of shipping. So we are excited about that. They have gone through a 50lb bag of starter feed. They also have learned how to get out of the brooder box and like to walk around the room. After the rain leaves, we will be putting them in the big coop. So hopefully the weather cooperates.
